Kineta Kunimatsu

Born in 1977 in Hokkaido. After graduating from the Sculpture Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Tama Art University, has been based at the Tobiu Art Community (Shiraoi Town, Hokkaido) since 2002 for creative activities. In recent years, has been creating works such as sculptures, paintings, and installations focusing on contours (boundaries) present in landscapes like horizons, horizontal lines, mountain ranges, and caves. Also continues fieldwork of the land mainly in the area called Ayoro as part of the activities of "Ayoro Laboratory" (2015-). Continues activities as a member of the artist collective "THE SNOWFLAKES" (2020-) formed at the Tobiu Art Community.
