Sculptor Kineta Kunimatsu was born in 1977 in Hokkaido.
After graduating from the Department of Sculpture, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tama Art University, he has been based in Tobiu Art Community (Shiraoi Town, Hokkaido) since 2002.
In recent years, he has been creating sculptures, paintings, installations and other works that explore the contours (boundaries) that exist in landscapes such as horizons, mountain ranges and caves.
Additionally, as part of the activities of the "Ayoro Laboratory" (2015-), he continues fieldwork in the area known as Ayoro.
He continues to work as a member of the artist collective "THE SNOWFLAKES" (2020-), which was formed in the Tobiu Art Community.
