A visually simple work that symbolically expresses the themes of the memory of the land, the presence of people, and loss. Three shadow-like shapes emerge in the center of a canvas with a rough texture covered in sand. The color scheme is unified in earth tones overall, emphasizing the texture of the sand. Shadows indicate the presence of people or objects, while simultaneously suggesting their absence and transience. In this work, using the physical material of Palestinian sand, the "shadows" inscribed there symbolize what once existed and past memories. The three shadows lined up suggest the presence of a family or group rather than an individual. By incorporating Palestinian sand into the work, it evokes awareness of the geographical and historical background. Additionally, the shadows indicate traces of the past, implying the passage of time and the loss of something. They also symbolize people who have been dispossessed of their land, lost histories, or those treated as invisible beings.
