takehikoc
takehikoc was born in the downtown area of Tokyo.
When he was a child, he was often praised with "You're good" when he drew pictures, but it didn't mean he liked drawing. He entered a design department in high school and became a graphic designer after graduation, but it wasn't because he wanted to. He spent his twenties not knowing what he wanted to do, and in his thirties, he encountered art works and Japanese Buddhism, was influenced by them, and decided to express himself through drawing. The characteristics of his works give a sense of duality: colorful, bright, and fun feelings, and a detailed, strange atmosphere. In his creative process, rather than drawing freely, he struggles and agonizes over ideas, concepts, and color usage while drawing. But he believes that the emotions and sensations from that struggle blend into the work and are conveyed as feelings to those who see it. Currently, he draws on days off when he has no work, but his goal is to create an environment where he can focus on drawing in the future. He hopes that many people around the world will see his works and feel his world.
